Par contre elle est en anglais, mais je l'ai traduite (avec l'aide de poupi et de mili) pour les personnes qui sont fachees avec l'anglais.

Title: Saviors
Characters: Michael/Sara, Lincoln
Rating: PG-13
Lenght: approx 1000
Summary: In each one a savior is crucified.
Disclaimers: Prison Break is not mine (sadly).

"In each one a savior is crucified."

~Herman Hesse~

Looking up at the sky, Sara thinks about the choice she has to make. My brother is innocent. She plays the conversation in her mind, again and again. How stupid has she been? She thought that he was different, that she could finally make a difference in there for once. But he was just using her to get what he wanted. He's just a charming liar, an insanely attractive jerk and oh-so-hot-and-sexy bastard. Damn him! However she has to admit that it's not about him. It's not about her, feeling cheated. It's about saving an innocent's life. Because, despite what Michael did, she has looked at Lincoln's files, and she can't not see that something is seriously wrong. She has to face the prospect that Michael is actually telling the truth.
But what he is planning -breaking out of prison- is completely impossible (not to mention utterly illegal). It can't end well. She knows the only person who can do something about Lincoln's case that wouldn't end up to one of them being hurt or worse. It's the last person she wants to ask help from, but again this is not about her and her lousy relationship with the Governor.
Later, when her father calls her a whore, Sara knows that her choice is made. She knows that he didn't read the files she gave him, that everything she says or does has no meaning to him unless it affects his career. She will leave the door open, not because he asked her to, nor to piss her father off (though that thought sounds appealing), but because she feels in her heart that Lincoln is innocent.

In front of the fire, she looks at the bottle of morphine in her hand, somehow surprised that such a little thing can be so heavy in the palm of her hand. Tonight Michael and his brother would be gone, and she cannot help but feeling left behind. Putting the needle in her arm, she feels the awfully familiar rush. She saved Lincoln, only to lose herself in the process. And she let herself fall, and fall and she cannot stop it. Closing her eyes, darkness greeting her, she can only see a pair of blue eyes staring back at her. They are beautiful.

*****

Michael doesn't want to leave her. He doesn't want to leave her when he only found her again just ten minutes ago. He wants to scream that it's not fair. But he's not going to let anything happens to her, especially when she just saved their lives again. He knows Sara will most likely not agree with his idea, because she loves him. God, she loves him, and that knowledge is almost enough to make him change his mind. He doesn't want to do this, but he will be damned before he lets her sacrifice herself again. There must be another way out of this. He will do anything to be able to stay with her. Outside the Panamian police is shouting. And he knows it's the only way to save her, to keep her safe. Pushing back a wave of despair, he tells her that they will explain everything, that he will help her in any way he can. Really he is just half-lying. And that pains him because after everything they have been through -after everything she has been through because of him- he has vowed to himself to never lie to her again. He has a pretty good idea of how far she is willing to go for him, but he is ready to go even farther for her. Because he is so desperately and irrevocably in love with this woman. Michael takes the gun from her, and helps her standing. He asks her if she's ready. He is not, but he doesn't have a choice. Everything he did before was for Lincoln, everything he does now is for her. Sara turns around and holds onto him.

She is crying, scared and desperate, and yet, beautiful enough to make him lose his mind.

*****

They are all here for a reason, motivated by something -revenge, freedom, family, love- but without Michael, none of them would be here. They need Michael, they need him to be alright because if he's not, neither are they. His brother's condition is getting worse. Sara already took him to the hospital. It's like he is back in time when their mother was still alive but so sick she couldn't get out of bed. Sara is worried too, he can see how she is watching him so closely, afraid that he might faint again. She's not the only one. At night when they go to bed, they are only three men left to make it there. Six beds, three empty ones. Bellick is only in their heart now, and Roland, well Roland paid the price of his betrayal. And since Michael fainted, Sucre always asks him if he's going to be alright. To what Lincoln replies 'Yes, he is going to be fine'. But he doesn't know if he is trying to convince Sucre or himself. Although he knows Michael is sleeping with Sara every night (almost since they got here) on the boat, and he suspects that it's the only place where his brother is truly fine at least for the night. That thought gives him a little comfort.

Unfortunately, the comfort doesn't last long. Later they find out what's wrong with Michael. And it's exactly what he was afraid to hear. And this is why he's here now, in front of the General. He watched his mother die, the sight burnt in his mind. He does not want to live that memory again. And he won't.
"You know it's the only way to save Michael. So do we have a deal?"
"Okay, I'll do it."

It's time to return the favor. He is going to do this to save Michael. And maybe, just maybe, that will save them all.

***********************************************************

Sara l’a deja emmene a l’hopital.

Title: At Last
Characters: Michael/Sara, Lincoln, Sucre, OC.
Word Count: 2,809
Rating: PG
Summary: His heart was a big empty hole, but things change.
Disclaimer: Prison Break is not mine (sadly).

“I’m getting you out of here.”

It was raining the day Lincoln Burrows was charged guilty and sentenced to death. The day where Michael Scofield was going to lose the only person he loved in this world (apart from his nephew), and more important the only one who loved him in return no matter what. Today’s trial was the last appeal, the last hope, the last chance. But chance had never been part of Michael’s life; that was just another proof.

Maybe if he believed that Lincoln was indeed guilty, it wouldn’t hurt so much to let him go. After all his big brother had been doing drugs for years, he had always been in trouble even before their mother’s death (although the trouble significantly increased after). He simply hung out with all the wrong people. Michael had tried to take him to rehab many times (even when he was barely fifteen himself) without any success. Lincoln seemed to be a lost cause, and he couldn’t stay sober for more than two months. Every time, Michael was more and more disheartened. He didn’t doubt that Lincoln loved him (Linc always told him “Michael, I’m sorry, I swear I won’t fuck up this time.” To what Michael would reply “I know Linc. I’ll help you.”), he just wished that he was enough to prevent his brother to fall off of the wagon again. When their mother died from cancer, they had no choice but to go through all the foster care system. That’s when, everything went downhill. They had been moved from foster home to foster home, most of the time thanks to Lincoln’s broken promise of ‘good behavior’. The worst came while Lincoln was away in juvie, leaving Michael alone with an abusive foster father. He had been beaten, and put most of the time in a black closet with all the monsters of his childhood. He had been terrified for six months. And then, he had seen the blood, the man, and his foster father dead. And it all happened when Lincoln was not there, too busy to fool around to care about his unworthy brother. Back then, Michael was just a kid who had no father and lost his mother too soon. But the thing was that Lincoln was just a kid too who had to take care of his special baby brother when he could barely take care of himself. Michael loved Lincoln. Lincoln loved Michael. They were everything to each other. It was that simple. So when Michael heard ‘guilty’, he still couldn’t believe it. Inside, his heart broke.

There is a wound that is always bleeding.

Michael had a plan, a purpose. He had the noblest goal. Save his brother. When he made it inside of Fox River, nothing else mattered. He had worked days and nights to make his plans. He had studied the blueprints, the workers at the prison, the inmates, he knew everything. Or almost everything. He certainly didn’t plan on losing his toes, on getting himself in the middle of racial wars, on burning his back on the pipe. But none of those things mattered to him, because he was doing the only thing that felt right. Save Lincoln and by extension his heart. He almost failed, when he had to watch Lincoln put on the chair. His brother was going to die and there was nothing that he could do to stop it. He couldn’t, but by some miracle (he would learn after that the miracle was called ‘dad’) Lincoln got one more week. And that’s all he needed.

They made it. They have been chased to death by FBI agents, Company lackeys, and former guards. For a moment, Michael was really asking himself if they could disappear one day. When he started this thing, he only wanted his brother. He just didn’t measure the sacrifices, some of them were not even his. He painfully thinks about Sara (he doesn’t even know if she gets his message or not), Veronica, LJ’s parents, Pope, Aldo, Westmoreland. At least, he has made plans to put T-Bag and Mahone in jail, where they deserve to be. Lincoln is walking beside him, chatting about the money. Michael tells him that he needs to send a portion to Westmoreland’s daughter like he promised him. He listens to Lincoln speaking about future, leaving everything behind. He knows his nephew is safe with Jane, they could reach to him when things settled down a little. There is only one thing that is missing, and he has every intention to find her. And Lincoln is here with him today, and it’s the proof that he just needs a little faith, that his heart is still beating. As they are making their way to the boat, following Chaco, Lincoln stops for an instant and turns toward his brother.

“I wanted to thank you Michael.”

“You’re welcome.”

*****

“Try passion.'

It was raining when Michael found out that he was just an utter fool. A fucking gullible fool. When Michael was diagnosed with LLI, he had to go to see a shrink. His mother used to tell him that the doctor was going to help him to focus on what’s important in order to not lose himself in his head. And his mother never lied to him (that’s what he thought at his young age anyway, until she fell sick and tried to cover it up). Therefore he didn’t protest too much when send to said-counselor or whatever his status was. And it did help him to concentrate, and to take hold of his LLI. But like everything, it had its advantages and drawbacks. The thing was that the drawback involved ‘being eaten’ by the world outside. Apparently, to the other children’s eyes (and even some parents), going to a shrink meant that you were ‘crazy’ or just a ‘freak’ and that something was seriously wrong with you. Consequently, nobody wanted to talk to him in case ‘his condition’ was contagious. So, in elementary school when Harry suddenly approached him, Michael didn’t see it coming. He was just desperate for someone, anyone to end the loneliness that gripped his heart. Harry asked him if he wanted to play ball with him and his friends. Michael happily accepted. At first, the others kids seemed to welcome him, each of them smiling at him. He returned each of them with a grin of his own, so delighted to be part of a group that he didn’t notice that their smiles were too broad to be honest. But as they played (kids throwing balls at each other), the ball seemed to always hit him particularly. And sport had never been Michael’s strongest skill, he wasn’t as good as Lincoln, not nearly. So he just thought that it was him who tried to catch the ball the wrong way every time it hit him. He tried his best to avoid it. After twenty minutes it began raining, and Michael had already been hit by the ball ten times. Harry and his friends didn’t even mumble a ‘sorry’ after the fifth time, and their smiles just went bigger and bigger. Something was off, Michael could feel it. As the ball hit him again, harder this time, he couldn’t hold back a small painful groan. And everyone laughed. Then he heard the word ‘weirdo’. And he knew right then, he was just a joke to them. Humiliated, he ran. Where? He didn’t know, he just wanted to disappear. Finally stopping at an empty park, he sat on a bench. Lincoln would find out eventually, and he was going to make them pay for what they did to Michael. Lincoln would be in trouble again. That made him cry. Inside, his heart fell into pieces.

There is a road he is always walking.

It has been over a month that Michael hasn’t seen Fernando Sucre. The last time he heard about him was on the phone the day they got LJ and Sofia back from the Company. He has been so consumed with anger and revenge; he didn’t wonder too long why Sucre had abruptly ended their conversation. He has been shocked to learn that his friend had been locked up in Sona. He doesn’t even know why. So, of course, that’s the first question Michael asks Sucre when he sees him. And, Sucre tells him about how T-Bag was there and gave his name to the guards, and how he would never turn his back on Michael, because Michael is his friend and he owes him. Michael retorts that he is the one with the debt. And because he is so glad that his former cellmate is here, (and that he remembers the day when Sucre had told him that he was sorry about Sara, and Michael had told him to quit, to leave him in the cage and never come back) he tells him that he found Sara. That she is alive, good (well as good as can be expected in their circumstances anyway), and here, with him. Sucre grins, claps Michael’s back, and replies that he is so happy for him because he knows what it is like to be in love. They want to sit back and talk about all the things that happened since the break out, but now is not the time yet. They have to discuss about Self and his deal. Michael explains that he wants to take down the Company after all they did to the people he loves, and that he –they- would be free if he is successful. He adds that his help would be welcome, but he won’t blame him if he chooses not to. “Are you kidding?” is the exact answer Michael gets. And he smiles. He is still amazed that he found what he has been looking for so long -a true friend- in the worst place possible such as prison. But he wouldn't have it another way. Sucre doesn’t hesitate, he is in, because he trusts Michael to do the right thing. During a short moment, both of them stay silent thinking about the deal they just agreed and the end that will come out of it if they pull it off. And suddenly, Sucre turns his head toward Michael grinning.

“I saw her, papi! My daughter. She is so beautiful.”

“I'm sure she is. I’m so glad for you Sucre.”

*****

“Be the change you want to see in the world.”

It was raining when he realized that he had been stood up. He should have known that a popular girl like her couldn’t possibly be interested in someone like him. Even if he wasn’t unattractive, quite the opposite, he had just that label ‘weirdo’ that stick to him no matter how hard he tried to shake it off. At that time, he was living with Lincoln. He had told him about his date. And Lincoln had been really happy for him saying that he was glad that he found someone. They didn’t have any money. (Lincoln was already handling two different jobs at the same time, Michael himself was doing a few hours at his library. He wanted to do more but Lincoln made it clear that he wanted Michael to focus on his study and not to worry about money, he will take care of it, that was his job) But since this was a special occasion, Lincoln had given him some anyway, telling him that they had saved a little from last month to persuade Michael to take the money and he should buy some flowers (though Michael would find out later that it wasn’t true, his brother just didn’t eat lunch for three days before the date). So, when the day had come, Michael made sure to arrive ten minutes early. He waited nervously, fidgeting and glancing down the road where he knew she would come from. Ten minutes. Twenty minutes. Thirty minutes. He called her twice, she was probably stuck in the traffic or something. No answer. Forty minutes. Fifty minutes passed, his heart getting heavier by the minute. One hour and fifteen minutes after the original hour of the date, Michael called her one last time. When someone finally answered, it wasn’t her voice, but a male one who called him ‘nerd’ and telling him not to call again and to stay away from his girlfriend or he would beat the shit out of him. In the background, Michael could hear the music and people giggling, laughing. He wasn’t even quick enough to hang up without hearing something that seemed awfully similar to ‘that freak is still waiting’. She had told him that she had dumped her boyfriend. And Michael believed her. He stayed frozen in place, he had been stupid again. Nobody cared about him, except his brother. And thinking about him, gosh, what was he going to tell Lincoln? Inside, his heart sank.

But he knows now, he’ll never return to this place.

They have taken down the Company four months ago, and they have been free ever since. Lincoln and LJ have their own house, they didn’t want to stay in the US at the moment. Michael didn't blame them, he had other plan too. A plan including, boat, sunset, filet mignon, happy hours and more important Sara. He had lost her more times than he liked to count. So when Bruce helped him to find her, he vowed to never leave her again. And Michael Scofield wasn’t a man that easily broke his promises. From the moment he felt alive again with her body in his arms, he made sure she was never too far away from him, because he knew that every time they had been separated and that she was alone, something bad always happened to her. They were broken apart, but they healed together. During the few weeks when they worked against the Company, they had been a little distant (though never cold) the day where they couldn't display their love like they wanted to, it was often a smile, a touch, a glance, an advice, a light comment. The moment the day turned into night though, they became intimate, asking to learn something, anything, everything about the other, and felt connected at every level. But days or nights, they were always aware of each other. They were seven the first day, five the last day. Bellick and Mahone didn't live to see the General brought to justice. Still, in the end, she was there. With him. And they didn't waste time to get out of the country, which brought them here, now.

The scars are still here reminding him to not take anything for granted. Lying on his back in a hammock, Sara curled against him with one leg between his and her arm around his waist, he thinks about all the things she had lost in the span of months, and sometimes he is surprised that she is still here after everything by his side. He wants to spend the rest of his life to make it up to her. Her head under his chin, he places a soft kiss on the top of her head. She sighs contently. He smiles. They are exactly where they are supposed to be.

He takes her hand in his, and playfully rubs the ring on her finger. Then, he brings their intertwined hands to his lips, kissing the inside of her palm.He feels her smile against his chest. He has waited his entire life for someone like her.

'Are we planning to stay all day lying here?' he asks softly.

'Hmm, that sounds good to me. I have a nice pillow here,' she teases.

He laughs, something that he has been doing much more often these last four months. And it feels good.

'So that's what I am? Your pillow?' he retorts playfully, pulling her even more closer.

'Sure you are.'

'And that's it? Am I that useless?' he says feigning to be insulted.

She grins.

'Oh I can find some others skills too.' she quickly assures him, bringing her hand to his face.

'Like what?'

'Like this.' And she brings his face to hers, pressing her lips to his, kissing him softly at first. He doesn't take long before he kisses her back, deepening the kiss. They only break apart to catch their breath. They stare at each other, both sharing the same thought. The one that takes them back three weeks ago where their fate was eventually sealed for good, the beginning of the rest of their lives together.

“I love you Michael.”

“I love you too, Sara Scofield.”

*****

At last, he doesn't feel empty anymore. Not when he has all the persons that matter to him beside him. And it hardly rains down there anyway.
